The Hope Choir
4 and 5 years olds
Karen Rotz, Director
Wednesdays, 6:45 – 7:15 pm
Children will learn the basic singing and musical skills such as matching pitch, unison singing, practicing rhythms as well as learning songs for worship. The choir sings in worship about every other month and at holidays.
The Cherub Choir
1st and 2nd Grade
Judy Schlabach, Director
Wednesdays, 6:45 – 7:30 pm
The children in this choir continue to develop pitch accuracy, the ability to blend their voices with others, and learn to respond to the gestures of the director. As they learn how to praise God with their voices they will also be reinforcing the elements of melody, rhythm and musical form. The Cherubs sing in worship every month and some holidays.
The Junior Choir
3rd – 5th Grade
Mike Muzzo, Director, Marilyn Light, Accompanist
Wednesdays, 6:45 – 7:30 pm
More advanced singing skills such as part singing and vocal production are emphasized. The children also learn more about connecting the music to the words and applying them to their daily lives. This choir sings in worship monthly and presents a musical during the year.
The Junior Ringers
3rd, 4th and 5th Grade Chimes
Brian Rotz, Director
Fall Sundays during Sprouts Interest Clubs
This group learns the basics of ringing using hand chimes. The ringing technique is very similar to handbell ringing and prepares the children for the youth handbell groups. The choir plays in worship at holidays.
